Thoughts from Home

Lately we got interested in having our own home. I thought Ace won’t be thinking about that this soon but I was wrong. We’re actually weighing things before if we have to construct a house or get a house and lot in one of the subdivisions. The dilemma is that most subdivisions has small lot areas and a matchbox-like houses that only two people could comfortably live. While I wanted a big lot so I could have my garden at the front and side yards and a few veggies at the backyard, Ace wanted a bigger house so we need to look for bigger lots with bigger house compared to the matchbox houses in the low-cost subdivisions. While we are geared towards that plan, we are thinking of just buying a foreclosed property that has big lot area and then get a house renovation loan. Another plan is getting a loan to buy the house and lot of one of my closest friends that she’s selling. Then we could get it way cheaper than the other properties in the market. However, getting a property here in our part of the globe is a bit taxing. How I wish we’re living in Wilmington North Carolina where we could go through SeaCoastRealty[dot]com for the list of Wilmington NC real estate listed for sale. Been to the site and I am drooling at the houses especially the kitchens. Oh well, the site is helpful in a way because I got to see different kitchen designs. From there I could design my dream kitchen!
