To replace or not?

Our helper went home last Saturday to attend a fiesta in their place. She and her sister (which is our neighbor’s nanny) will be back Tuesday. Tuesday came and no sign of the sisters so I told myself I won’t be expecting her to be back from their short vacation. After all, I am not 100% happy with how she’s working so it’s not my loss if she won’t be back. On the other hand, our neighbor isn’t also expecting the nanny to be back so they immediately look for replacement in their province. Hydee (our neighbor’s wife) asked me if I need replacement for our helper so she could ask their relatives back in the province to find one for me and I wasn’t able to say yes immediately.

After the headaches that our helper caused me, I am not sure if I am going to hire another one should she decide not to work with us. Ace wanted a replacement immediately for the concern that I would be doing most chores should the helper won’t report back to work. But after everything that I’ve gone through with the helper, I think it would be easier for me to just handle the tasks on my own than having another one that I cannot rely to do tasks without much supervision. Anyway, should the helper would come back, I just hope she would decide to go home in a few months if she still couldn’t do her tasks perfectly, without me always reminding her this and that. What a pain!

Lovebirds

Ace loves animals so when there was an old man selling a pair of birds that he captured, Ace bought it though it’s a bit pricey. The birds aren’t for pets for they grow in the wild but Ace still kept them in the improvised bird cage made of weed twine. A week after, the birds died because they were swamped with ants inside their cage.

Months after, Ace saw lovebirds at my uncle’s backyard in my hometown. We both wanted to have a pair to be brought here in Davao but we don’t have a cage yet so we decided to get the birds when we already have a bird cage hence we are canvassing for Bird Cages before. However, the one that we want is big and a beyond our budget so we forced ourselves to forget about our want to have a pair of lovebirds. Should we decide to have pet birds this time, I think it would be better to check at www.thebirdcagedepot.com for they have wide selection of Large Bird Cages and Bird Toys. For sure we could find what we are looking for the pet birds that we wanted to have. Wish we could have it soon so Puto and Maya could have playmates. :-)
