Our little house is not standing yet but I already have a visual picture of it. The choleric wants high quality fixtures installed from the small things such asĀ toggle switches to toilets and everything! But since we are getting a low-cost house (low cost that would cost us more than a million after we pay it in 25 years?), we cannot be sure that everything will be of high quality. Talk about developer getting the most profit that they could! We’re considering to buy our own or upgrade the quality of materials that the developer has allotted for the house to make sure we won’t be replacing them should they break immediately. Well, I am just thinking of doing things right the first time. Such a choleric!

The highest peak in the Philippines: Mt. Apo
Posted on Jan 29, 2010 under Looking at the Sky on Friday | 5 CommentsMount Apo is a large solfataric potentially active stratovolcano on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It is the highest mountain in the country and overlooks Davao City-40km northeast, Digos City-25km southeast, and Kidapawan City-20km west. Its name means “master” or “grandfather”. Apo is flat topped, with three peaks, and is capped by a 500 m wide volcanic crater containing a small crater lake. It is a source of geothermal energy, but the date of its most recent eruption is unknown, and none are verified in historical times.
At 2954 meters, Mount Apo is the highest mountain in the Philippines. This majestic peak is one of the country’s most popular climbing destinations.
I am always amazed at the beauty of Mt. Apo. I’ve been seeing this volcano every single day in my hometown because our old house it facing this mountain and this is the view that greets us every morning. It’s where the sun peeks to say good morning to everyone! Now that we’re living here in Davao. Mt. Apo is located in our west (back of the apartment) so I seldom see it now.*sigh*. Anyway, hubby captured this with our crappy Sigma lens on New Year’s day.
