Thoughts from Home

It’s nice to back home! I terribly miss the house, the dogs, and the cat. But nothing compares the fun and happiness of being with my whole family for days.

Now it’s crunch time. Back to work as we have bills to pay and obligations to settle. I wish everyday is VACATION day but I have to work. My to do list is already long with all the items pending for weeks already. It’s time to put a check mark in each of the listed to do tasks one by one. Glad that we have a smoke-free home and smoke-regulated city. Though I grew up with Daddy smoking in our home – though not in front of our face because he used to go out of the house when he smokes, I am still “allergic” with the smell of a cigarette smoke. I should be immune to that, right? But I find myself loathing the smell of it every time there’s somebody smoking nearby.

Funny me but I love the smell of a real tobacco. It’s what my late paternal grandfather is smoking when he was alive and I used to watch him prepare his cigars out of the dried tobacco leaves that he is buying from the market. He buys this locally produced tobacco leaves, flatten it with a small rolling pin, cut in his desired size and roll it to form his homemade cigars.
