On gadgets

Gadgets are not my fave. If others are raving about the latest gadget in the market, I cannot convince myself to get the latest. Like cellphones, for example. Mine is an old unit that was given by one of the superiors in URC 4 years ago. Through time the keypad’s letters and numbers were erased thus making it hard for others who borrow my cellphone because they cannot compose a text or make a call. It’s only me who can decipher my cellphone’s keypad but I can’t convince myself to get a replacement. :-)

There’s only one gadget that I wish I could have soon…that is a compact digital camera! I am not saying I don’t like using our Canon 400D but we think we are overusing it. For simple snapshots, I and Ace wanted to have a handy digicam so we could take snapshots easily without catching much attention once we bring out the camera in public places. Then Ace discovered that taking videos is so much fun since he took videos during Sarah Geronimo’s The Next One concert held here in Davao last September. Like DSLR, a handycam is an eye-turner so a pocket video camcorder would be great to capture videos without catching so much attention from the public. It’s great for stealing moments and not being noticed. However, we’re not planning to get a camcorder now…or wish we could have one. But if it will turn out to be a need, then maybe we will get one.
