Changing brands

Most of the time I am too loyal in buying certain brands of anything that we use in the house as I am not so open in trying out other brands because I might be disappointed. It takes a lot of convincing power before I change brands. Though sometimes, I am also curious to try out something new so I could assess if it’s good or not – if it would be worthy of my loyalty the next time we shop for groceries.

One of the things that I am loyal with is a certain brand of toothpaste. I grew up using that known brand and it is unusual for me to get another brand. But since my cousin is now working in a home-grown company with toothpaste as one of their products, I decided to change brands. Hence, since I have known about her career move from McDonald’s (of course, I would be a loyal fan of McDo) to Lamoiyan, I changed toothpaste from Colgate to Hapee. So far, I wasn’t disappointed with Hapee and the thing is, it is much cheaper than my former brand not compromising the quality. Then when I tried other product line of Hapee, the Gumtect that Marichel gave me the other month, I fell in love with it that I made sure it was in my list for grocery shopping. Sadly, it’s out of stock  at the supermarket where we had our recent grocery shopping so I just picked other Hapee toothpaste. Also, I changed dishwashing liquid from Axion to Dazz. Obviously, I am building loyalty to Lamoiyan products not only because my cousin is working with them but because it is our pride — a Filipino company helping the differently abled Filipinos such as the deaf-mutes.
